hey, is it me or did zbp stop working with sjphone. I incountered this problem earlier today while trying to check vm's.
anyone else had this experience?
hmmm, working fine here, was on sending a message to karrie and bill, and seems to work fine. the only problem i have come across is sometimes you have to dial twice, cause the first time is just silence
well, it's something in my network or something because my computers can never get on to zbp in any form. my laptop managed to dial it from my old schools network last night but no sound, and no other networks let me in.
hmm, it must be my network. it used to let me on, now it doesn't. strange. I tried reparing SJ because I thought something was wrong.
you two Ray? i've tryed everything i can think of, and my brother in law even checked to see if the ports were right, wich they are. yet, it just diles and then does absolutely nothing!

Yeah, I'm having the same problem too.
I thought it was because my wireless connection here was too slow, but I guess it's not just me.
any opinions on this from the staff?
The problem has been reported, and I'm sure the admins will look into it asap.

okay, so if SJ phone isn't having a problem on the zone's end, and thoes of us that still can't get it to connect have done all we can on our ends, can you recommend another free sip phone that we can use? i mean, for me personally, i don't live in America, Canada or the Uk, and it's my ownly way for accessing ZBP, short of going and buying skype credit just for using ZBP.
I've upgraded the software, which may fix the problem. If not, I'll look into it in more depth later today.

Wait. I thought you couldn't use Skype with ZBP? Is this true or just for the U.S. since American numbers don't show up?
You can use skype with zbp just fine, I've done it. After all, it's jsut another US phone number.
Also, I wouldn't recommend to anyone using SJPhone or any other sip phone over wireless. My wireless connection had almost equal speeds to my actual internet connection and yet I still couldn't get on with it. i'm surprised any of you can.
um, i use SJ phone just fine on a wireless connection.
my college network was ethernet and i couldn't get on. your connection doesn't matter as long as it's fast enough from what i've seen
Mine has never worked! I installed sjphone and tried it, and it never did anything, so I just gave up and uninstalled it, but I guess this problem is normal then!
I know that sometimes you have to mess with the router settings, but after doing that, mine still didn't work, and when i plugged directly into it, i got on just fine. I guess it depends on the provider, the router, and the computer's wireless card.
